Research on the ecosystem of the horse hindgut is a historic topic for scientific team in Dijon. In 2015 and 2016, several presentation in congresses and litterature reviews were realized by Pr Veronique Julliand and Dr Pauline Grimm, among other:
- "The microbiome of the horse hindgut", in 2015 in Orlando (USA) at the congress ADSA-ASAS
- "Impact of Diet on Microbial Profile in Equine Faeces", in 2016 in Leipzig (Germany) at the 8th Leipziger Tierärztekongress
In June 2017, Pr Julliand is invited speaker at the 25th ESS Symposium in Minneapolis (USA) to present "The impact of diet on the hindgut microbiome".
These communications are associated with litterature reviews, like "The microbiome of the horse hindgut: History and current knowledge" (Julliand, V., and P. Grimm. 2016. Horse Species Symposium: The microbiome of the horse hindgut: History and current knowledge. J. Anim. Sci. 94: 2262-2274).
Research on hindgut microbiota and its relation to health, behavior and performance is a top priority for us. Our team will be happy to carry out your development projects on this topic.
